New Year, Fresh Start For Run Groups at Runner’s Den

Traditionally at Runner’s Den we have offered Run Clinics since opening in 2006.  Things are a little different now with COVID and Runner’s Den is evolving with a different approach.  Rather than clinics, we are hosting run groups, with the exception of our beginner run clinic which will still take place three times per year for runners who need a walk/run progression.

Starting in January, 2021 there will be run groups and walk groups on the following days, as described below.  The groups will meet from (*date changed due to lockdown) February 17th-June 24, 2021 and August 30-November 18, 2021

All runs start and finish at the store.  


Monday 5:30pm 

Easy group run.  Runner’s split up into 2 different groups according to pace.  There will be a leader for each pace group.
Power Walk Group. Walk for approximately 45 minutes


Wednesday 5:30pm-This is Workout Wednesday!  Your workout begins with a brief warm-up to activate muscles and lubricate joints to get you ready for some faster running.  All paces welcome since we re-group for most efforts.  We recommend experienced runners only (a base of 30km per week)


Thursday 5:30pm

Easy group run.  Runner’s split up into 2 different groups according to pace.  There is a leader for each group.

Power Walk Group. Walk for approximately 45 minutes

Saturday 8:30am

The Saturday morning runs will be at 8:30am until daylight saving time starts March 14, 2021 when we will move the time back to 7:30am.  Then the time will change back to 8:30am on November 7, when daylight savings time ends.  Saturday’s are typically longer runs ranging from 10-20km or more.

We will meet outside the store unless  you need to come in for any reason and when doing so you must wear a buff or mask until heading outside. We must remain socially distanced both inside and out.

$99.99 per year for membership.  Membership includes:

15% discount on regular priced merchandise

Programs available for the following distances: 5, 10, half, 30km and full marathon.  

Beginner Run Clinics

Beginning in March we will have our Beginner Run Group – an 8 week program which is great for new runners or those recovering from injuries.  Your leader will take you on various routes and discuss the basics of running.  This will also be offered at the end of May and again in September. See dates below.

$69.99 per session.  Membership includes:

Knowledgeable leaders to take you on planned routes.

Monday and Wednesday Evenings at 5:30pm
