Fall Clinics 2017

 In Running Groups

Monday, August 28 marks the first evening of Runner’s Den Fall Clinics.  Every Monday and Thursday evening at 5:30pm we meet to achieve individual goals within a group setting.  We place you in the following groups depending on your goals:

Power Walk for Fitness – Take your walk to the next level by joining a group to pick up your pace.

Zero to Hero Run/Walk – Never ran before?  Tried running but couldn’t stay motivated?  Coming back from an injury?  Try our safe and effective learn to run group where all you have to do is meet at the den three times per week.  Success will follow.

5 & 1 Run/Walk – Graduated from the zero to hero?  This group begins at running 5 minutes with a 1 minute walk break and works up to a 10 & 1 over the course of 12 weeks.

Fun & Fitness – Just as the name indicates, this group is a whole lot  of fun with the added bonus of getting fit.  Come out and meet new runner’s, run new routes and maintain your fitness.

Intermediate – If you are ready to take your running to the next level and try some speedwork then this group is for you.  Training for a half marathon and want to break that 2 hour barrier?  Let us help!  A minimum one year of running experience is required and you must maintain an easy run pace of 6:15/km or faster for both the intermediate and advanced groups.

Advanced – Training for a fall marathon?  Longer speed sessions, pace runs, mid week long runs are what this group will incorporate to help you achieve your goals.

Don’t forget that Saturday Mornings are open runs so if you can’t meet on Monday or Thursday evenings, these runs are FREE and open to anyone.  Distances vary depending on the season and the goal races.
